I wanted to take a second and talk about a couple of things you might be interested in. First, the deacons met last week and talked about our need for developing an even deeper investment in the youth and their families at our church. We need to build fellowship, discipleship, and outreach activities, as well as provide focused spiritual mentoring and pastoral care for these young people. In addition, we need to upgrade the look and feel of the youth room. So over the next few months, we plan to begin laying out some of these plans. And while it is important to get the right people in the right places, we need good helpers. If any of these things I mentioned excited or energized you, will you please contact me and let me know?

Second, I want to take a second and brag on the people of our counseling team who are doing an amazing job providing meaningful care for the people of our community and our church. Joan Rademacher has been a Godsend for us at Central. She is a licensed mental health counselor, she sees people at a greatly reduced rate, and she is top notch. If you are working on issues that you cannot seem to overcome, Joan is a great person to see to help you work out those issues. She has no problem telling it like it is, and wants the very best for those who see her. And the group of women who lead our GriefShare group provide a loving and caring atmosphere for people who are working through grief. Each of them have experienced grief, and approach the program with empathy and real care. They are each available to talk with you and can help you get connected to the GriefShare program.

I hope if either of these topics connect with you, that you will reach out and make contact. I also hope that worship is meaningful to you this morning.

Blessings, Sonny
