Central’s family Easter celebration that included lunch, egg dyeing, Easter crafts, and an egg hunt was loads of fun for the whole family.  More than 35 children and their families gathered in Adams Hall right after Palm Sunday worship to begin Holy Week together.  The children had already helped in the main worship service by reading scripture and a prayer and also passing out palm fronds as worshipers arrived.

Every child took home 20 or more candy-filled eggs found in the egg hunt, plus finders of “special” eggs won additional prizes!  The families should also be enjoying throughout this week the  [empty] garden tomb arrangement that each child made to commemorate the Resurrection Story.

Children will be ringing hand bells in Easter worship tomorrow.  Another project made in “Shine!” , the sacred arts Wednesday night activity for kids will be on display in the sanctuary this Sunday, too. It’s a lighted stained glass depicting the resurrection that was designed and painted  by the children.  Don’t miss it.  It will add to your Easter joy!
