We have a special called church conference this Sunday morning to vote on bringing Matt Nelson as our Associate Pastor of Worship, Youth and Families. This conference will take place right after worship on Sunday, as Matt will lead our congregational music. Before Sunday, there are two important dates related to the conference:
- Tonight, September 9th at 6:30 pm, we will have our church communication meeting regarding the conference, where you can ask the search committee any questions that you would like about the process they went through in sensing God’s leadership to call Matt. Questions regarding the conference should be asked here, as the conference will be a simple up or down vote.
- Saturday, September 12th at 6pm, we will having an ice cream social with Matt present, which will be an informal time for you to introduce yourself to him and get to know him in a casual way, and then we will gather in a circle for a question and answer session regarding his ministry and philosophy, his likes and dislikes.
